DOH Announces Change in Licensing Fees

Tuesday, June 18, 2019

The Department of Health recently announced plans to change the current fee structure for certain professional licenses, including chiropractic. Professional license fees fund the regulatory bodies for each respective profession and are designed to ensure that those bodies are completely self-sustaining. Over the years chiropractic licensing fees have been raised and lowered as necessary and allowable.

The fees were lowered in the last change, and they have maintained that rate for the past several years. However, with growing operational expenditures such as unanticipated disciplinary proceedings, it is now necessary to increase them. The increases will take effect on October 1, 2019. Details about the new rates and an itemization of where your license fees go are available in the rule-making order.
