Welcome to the Snake Pit: Why Good Chiropractors Make Bad Witnesses -- 9 CEs

For chiropractors treating PI cases, testifying is an occupational hazard. But many chiropractors--even the best--are unskilled in the art of public speaking and testimony. With the right training, you can be your patients' strongest advocate in the clinic, the courtroom, and beyond. This seminar will teach you how to avoid the tricks and traps that defense attorneys set for expert witnesses. This underappreciated skill set is vital to the comprehensive case management your patients deserve.

For chiropractors who treat in the area of personal injury, testifying is an occupational hazard. But many chiropractors--even the best--are unskilled in the art of public speaking and testimony. Personal injury lawyers rarely take the time to teach their expert witnesses this art, and too few chiropractors reach out for that help. The inevitable result is disappointing verdicts. Insurers get to undercut accident victims because juries don't force them to pay them the fair compensation they're due. Lawyers blame the chiropractor for giving ineffective testimony, chiropractors blames the lawyer for not properly preparing them, and at the end of the day it's the innocent patient that loses out due to others' poor performance.

This seminar will teach chiropractors how to avoid the common tricks and traps that defense attorneys set for expert witnesses.  With the right training, you can develop the necessary skills to effectively advocate for your patients beyond the clinical setting.  This underappreciated skill set is vital to the comprehensive case management your patients deserve.

Speakers include Mike Maxwell, JD, partner and trial attorney with Maxwell Graham; Jay Shetlin, DC chiropractor and founder of the Utah Whiplash Group; Kenneth Murkowski, DC, chiropractor and noted speaker on Whiplash Associated Disorders; and David Marcarian, MA, NASA-trained researcher, inventor of the DynaROM Motion sEMG System, and president of MyoVision.

These four speakers will combine their decades of experience and expertise in the law, chiropractic, and diagnostic tools to help you become your patients' strongest advocate in the clinic, in the courtroom, and beyond.
