Come to the 2018 WSCA Annual Meeting & Symposium to see new board member installations and for a riveting 4 CE program featuring presentations by Dr. Michele Maiers, representing the ACA, and Dr. Gerry Clum, representing the ICA. Following these presentations, a panel discussion regarding X-ray Policy will be conducted, moderated by John Weeks of the Integrator Blog News & Reports. Audience members will be able to submit questions directly to the panel.

The 2018 WSCA Annual Meeting & Symposium will be held Saturday, January 20 at the Hilton Seattle Airport & Conference Center.


In addition to new board member installations and the election of the association's officers, we will also have a 4 CE program with presentations by representatives of the American Chiropractic Association and the International Chiropractors Association regarding their respective organizations' X-ray policies.  Following these presentations, the ACA and ICA representatives will participate in a panel discussion moderated by John Weeks, Publisher and Editor of The Integrator Blog News & Reports.  Attendees will have the opportunity to participate as well, through the moderated question and answer period.


Panel members will include Dr. Michele Maiers, representing the ACA, and Dr. Gerard Clum, representing the ICA.


Michele Maiers, DC, MPH, PhD is a Professor and Executive Director of Research and Innovation at Northwestern Health Sciences University. Her professional goal is to facilitate the pragmatic use of research to both inform clinical practice and shape public health policy. Her research studies the effectiveness of spinal manipulation, exercise and other non-drug therapies, particularly among older adults with spine-related pain and disability. Michele’s current innovation and policy projects engage a range of healthcare stakeholders to ensure that the information gained in these and other research studies is translated into knowledge that improves patient care, policy guidelines, access and reimbursement. Michele currently serves on the boards of the American Chiropractic Association and the World Federation of Chiropractic.


Gerard W. Clum, DC, FICA is the immediate past-president of Life Chiropractic College West (Hayward, CA) and has been active in the chiropractic profession for more than forty years. Over the past four decades Dr. Clum has been involved in the academic, accreditation, and organizational efforts of the educational community of the chiropractic profession. He was a founder and officer of the Association of Chiropractic Colleges (ACC), a member and officer of the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE), and he has served as a test committee member and consultant to the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE).  In addition, he has also been active in the broader infrastructure of the chiropractic world through the International Chiropractors Association (ICA), the World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC), the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP).

  • 30 days from the event: full refund issued
  • 14 days from the event: 50% refund issued

Service Animal Policy

The WSCA seeks to create an environment conducive to learning at its continuing education programs. Although service animals are always welcome, pets, companion, and other non-service animals will not be permitted at WSCA events. Attendees who bring such animals into our events will be asked to leave them outside, or alternatively, leave the event and no refund will be issued.
