After a 4 month challenge by insurers and some businesses that opposed our bill, we have finally reached conclusion! On Tuesday, May 15, in the 2:00pm series of bills signed, 2SSB 5597 was signed by Governor Gregoire into law with no veto messages. The bill has an effective date of 1/1/08 and following an appropriate time period the WSCA will be in contact with insurers to inquire about how they will implement the law.

If you are a chiropractor that believes you will be affected by this bill please be patient while we give the carriers time to come up with their internal processes for implelementing this new law.
