We sincerely regret that due to insufficient registrations we have been forced to cancel the entire CCEP series, including this weekend’s program on Upper Extremity Adjusting (May 17-18). We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and truly wish we had had more doctors interested in the program. Dr. Hearon does offer the classes in other locations and you are encouraged to call him at (208) 375-7431.

Area Activities for Families
In Winter 2007, WSCA Board of Directors formed an Insurance Committee to help work on some of the questions that we've been receiving from our members and to work more closely with the Insurance Carriers to define and explain some of the billing procedures, as well as billing code usage. The committee drafted letters to Regence and Premera prior to our 2008 Winter Conference in order to gather information and clarify certain billing codes. You can read the letter on the insurance page of our website.
The Insurance Committee is continuing to meet and is currently looking for additional members who would like to participate. If you are a member of the WSCA and would like to learn more information about this position, please email us at: insurance@chirohealth.org. As an on-going feature, the WSCA Spotlight News will link you to articles of interest from the Integrator, edited by John Weeks. Weeks has written for Plexus and spoke at our January 2007 conference. He is a 20-year veteran reporter and organizer in the field of complementary and integrated health care. The Integrator's mission is to serve leaders in creating the connections between the diverse disciplines and stakeholders in the emerging field.
The articles for April include an exploration of "cultural authority" which grew out of my participation at the 2008 ACC-RAC meeting which focused on this theme, a personal report from a meeting with Josephine Briggs, MD, the new director of NIH NCCAM, an article on additional questions about whether NCCAM's leaders should be experienced in complementary and integrative approaches, some insight into whether Rs or Ds are most supportive of chiropractic and prevention, and notice of an interesting new employer-related initiative for integrative practitioners.
