Bratvold/Ilk Team Wins WSCA /GLP Golf Classic Third Year in
a Row!
Cries of “break ‘um
up” along with appropriate applause greeted the announcement
of the winning team in this year’s WSCA/ Graham Lundberg
& Peschel Golf Classic, held August 26 at Kayak Point
Golf Course.
For the third year in a row,
the team led by Dr. Tye Bratvold and Dr. Aaron Ilk posted
the winning score in the scramble tournament – a record
low 58. Other members of the foursome were Dew Willard and
Craig O’Dell.
Coming in second was the team
led by Dr. Brian Long and including Kevin Long, Brian McCormick
and Dr. David Weber. They shot a combined 61.
The father-sons team of Austin/Koshelnik
finished third with a 62. The team consisted of Dr. Aaron
Austin and Dean Austin and Dave and Kurt Koshelnik.
While no one walked away with
the $10,000 hole-in-one prize, Dr. John Sim did pocket the
$500 cash prize for closest-to-the-pin (7’2”)
on hole #5. Other $50 prize winners were Dr. Mark Burick with
CTP on hole #16 (15’7”), Dr. Kevin Geagan with
CTP on hole #3 (14’9”) and Dew Willard with Long
Drive on #17.
Next year, the tournament will
move south to a course in either South King or Pierce County.
The association is looking at a variety of options for a Saturday
date in September 2007.
