Best Practices First Draft Chapter
(Low Back) Ready for Review and Input
The Council on Chiropractic
Guidelines and Practice Parameters (CCGPP) would like to announce
that the first draft chapter (low back) of the best practices
document that has been developed over the past few years is
now posted online for stakeholder commentary at www.ccgpp.org.
. There is a slide show on the first page that describes the
rationale and process, and if readers select the "View
Document" tab, information about the low back chapter
and a link to the document may be found on that page. This
is a rated review of literature, not guidelines.
We request and thank you for
completing the survey at the conclusion of your examination
of this draft, and there is a link for our survey page at
the conclusion. Organizations reaching consensus decisions
about the document will submit their comments via a somewhat
different mechanism to be detailed in press releases over
the next two days. This draft will remain online for 60 days
and then then may be altered, relative to stakeholder contributions.
The next chapter draft is expected to be cervical spine, in
approximately two months. One to three more chapters are planned
to follow by the fall.
Many thanks to those of you
receiving this email for your interest and to those of you
who have also directly contributed to this significant effort.
We look forward to it helping our doctors and those whom they
serve, as well as all others who interact with the chiropractic
profession. Special thanks to Drs. Bill Meeker and Dana Lawrence,
the low back chapter team leads, as well as to Dr. John Triano,
our research commission chair, for all their hard work, among
others.
Best regards,
Gene
